AIBA Premier Development League

The AIBA Premier Development League (PDL) mission is to help players develop their basketball talent as they aspired to improve their game for college and/or professional careers. The AIBA allows players under the age of 25 to perform in a professionalized setting while maintaining their college eligibility. The league offers the opportunity for colleges student athletes, elite high school players and establish veterans an environment that is conducive to progressive player development.

By operating during the summer months, the AIBA PDL system allows college players the chance to retain their amateur status while staying on top of their game during a period of preseason training. Moreover, the AIBA PDL provides college coaches a scouting opportunity to identify potential recruits. This unique opportunity never existed on such large player awareness level before for Bermuda, the Caribbean Islands and International students athletes from other countries.

In addition to exposing players to the professional game on a personal basis, the AIBA PDL also provide players insight into the intricate working positions that exist behind the pro game that may lead to future jobs beyond their playing days. Players also connect with coaches and peers having extensive ties and relationships on the professional level with clubs locally and internationally, thereby improving their chance to land a position abroad.
